Between the sparkling waters of Lake Victoria and the fabled plains of the Masai Mara, there lies an exotic treasure. Great marbled soapstone columns are unearthed by skilled craftsmen and transformed into unique works of art. Soapstone, softest of all natural minerals, responds to the turning and sculpting of the artist until its inner beauty and warmth is revealed. Each treasure is then hand-dyed with rich natural colours, complementing its own natural variance of shades. Finally, engravers decorate each piece in their own unique style.
The soapstone is more popularly known as Kisii stone since the Kisii tribes are the people who mine and carve it.
